Beran, God of Truth
Beran is often thought of as similar to Meshrack, but this could not be
further from the truth. Whereas Meshrack was a warrior seeking to protect
the innocent, Beran was a zealous crusader. His path to ascension began
the day he was selected to be a magistrate for his hometown of Viob. That
same day, a
murder occurred in the town's market. Beran's guilt and curse
drove him to become a Inquisitor, burning those that were untruthful.

Upon taking the mantle of Truth, Beran's instructed his followers to
seek out the wicked and destroy them. The great Purge continued until the
three came to dominance. They forced Beran to stop his crusade, seeing
that it was destroying all in it's path, even his own followers. Bitter, Beran
went into seclusion, avoiding the plots and intrigues of the Ascended, he
cares not for the plight of men or the gods, only for the truth. His followers
are few, though many invoke his name when trying to convince someone of
their honesty. A few still carry on his crusade in secret. Omens from Beran
are usually a burning of one's ears on hearing someone lie, or a bright light
without apparent source.
