| A Dreamer’s Wish Take me to another place, another time. Where wisdom was worshiped, not fools upon a stage. When men were heroic, and women goddesses. Rules had intelligence, not intelligence placed in a cage. A time when reason and logic prevailed, ignorance was a mute. Life was celebrated, the lawless stricken. Where Justice had strength, not a sick brute. Take me to another place, another time. Where little innocents were cherished, not shuffled from view. When Order was the norm, not the disgust of chaos. Faith was admired, not spurned for the godless to hew. Where is this other place, other time? When we were young and heavens did freely give. Eyes full of grace and souls were awake. I knew those days, yet I did not live. -- Peter Wilson ©2006, Wilson Ernst Enterprises, all rights reserved. |
